A millionaire father who lives in a home fashioned after a castle in Connecticut refuses to pay more than “basic” child support to the mother of his 1-year-old daughter. The mother of the daughter and the 1-year-old daughter face eviction from an apartment in Brooklyn says the lawyer for the mother. The father claims he cannot pay more than $1,000 in child support because of financial hardship.
The millionaire father lives in a 35,000 square foot home that is modeled after a castle. The home has the complete style of a castle including a moat, turret and petting zoo. According to the mother, the millionaire would no longer allow the mother and daughter to live at the home shortly after the little girl was born.
The former couple’s relationship began in 2009 when the millionaire convinced the woman to leave her husband and move into his $4.1 million home. The millionaire father has two other daughters, ages 6 and 8, from a previous wife who live with the man in his castle home, and the woman also has a 9-year-old daughter from another relationship.
According to the woman, the two lived together at the castle with all of their children and experienced a perfect life for about one year. The millionaire was supposedly happy to have a child with the woman when she became pregnant. The woman eventually moved to Brooklyn to have the couple’s child because there was too much activity at the castle. The millionaire provided a nanny to assist her.
The millionaire did not show up to the birth of his daughter and would not let the mother and the couple’s daughter return to the castle. According to the mother’s attorney the mother is asking for $4,000 in child support per month plus additional child-care expenses.
