Man tries to restart life as woman as part of child custody plan

Parents sometimes go to great lengths in order to gain custody of their children. Sometimes for better or for worse the plans of parents are not executed successfully. Take the example of one father and mother north of Texas. A 42-year-old man from Oklahoma recently tried to fake his own death so that he could help his ex-wife regain child custody over their children.

The Oklahoma man and his ex-wife are accused by prosecutors in Oklahoma that they tried to fake the death of the man so that he could escape arrest warrants and start his life over as a woman. The former married couple was charged with conspiring to commit a crime by filing a false police report.

According to court documents, the former couple tried to fake the 42-year-old man’s death so his 43-year-old ex-wife could regain custody over their children and so he could complete a sex change surgery. The 42-year-old father told police that his ex-wife lost custody of their children because the couple’s daughter saw the father have sex with a blow-up doll.

In carrying out the plan, the 43-year-old woman told police she was not able to find her former husband after dropping him off earlier in the day. The woman said in her own search she had found his fishing gear near a lake but could not find him.

A friend of the couple’s informed police of the false story and of the former couple’s plan to fake the man’s death to evade arrest warrants and to regain custody of their children.
