Texas residents who are interested in sustainable energy may be interested to learn that actress Talulah Riley has filed for divorce from billionaire Elon Musk, co-founder of Paypal, Tesla Motors and SpaceX. Riley had initially filed for divorce in late 2014 but pulled the petition just seven months later.
Riley and Musk first married in 2010 but divorced only two years later. They then remarried about 18 months later. This second marriage will have lasted a little more than two years. According to the statement, the two have been living separately but intend to remain friendly after the divorce. The pair did not have any children together.
Deciding to get a divorce can be a difficult decision to make. In some cases, one spouse has put aside schooling and moving forward in their career to support the other spouse. This may have prevented them from earning their own income or progressing through their chosen career. Although they may receive some funds from the divorce, it can still take time to find work and support themselves after the divorce has been finalized.
In these types of situations, spousal support could prevent the recipient from having financial problems immediately following the divorce. An attorney may assist with gathering evidence that shows that the client contributed in some way to the marriage, whether that was by looking after any children that were a result of the marriage or by taking care of the household.
